John Fisher

Mr. Fisher has over 20 years of business and investment experience in asset management, private equity and investment banking, working with a variety of institutional, corporate and HNW investors.

  • CEO and Founder of Bridgeport Asset Management, a Toronto based discretionary money management firm which serves HNW investors.
  • Co-manager of an insurance related alternative investment program.
  • Previously a Managing Director of Clairvest Group, a Toronto-based private equity firm with $1 billion of assets under management.
  • Mr. Fisher holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
  • Earned Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations.

David Sedgwick

Mr. Sedgwick has a 20 year career identifying and successfully executing on unique alternative investment strategies and providing management and M&A advisory services to private/public corporations, pension funds, private equity firms & wealth management practices.

  • Currently manages two international alternative energy development private equity funds.
  • Co-manager of an insurance related alternative investment program.
  • Previously managed a series of successful private equity commercial real estate related LPs.
  • Working on behalf of pension funds in Canada and Europe, Mr. Sedgwick has led the management, restructuring and exit of a number of large real estate related asset portfolios.
  • Holds an Honors Degree, Business Administration (HBA) from the University of Western Ontario - Ivey School of Business.

Edward Truant

Mr. Truant has over 20 years’ experience in mid-market private equity investing and M&A advisory services to private corporations.

  • As a partner with Imperial Capital Group, Canada’s largest high net worth investor supported private equity firm, Mr. Truant was responsible for the origination, diligence, oversight and exit of multiple private North American businesses including the most profitable investment in the firm’s history. Mr. Truant was also involved in all aspects of fund formation, governance and operations.
  • Served as both CFO and interim CEO for portfolio companies of Imperial Capital Group.
  • Mr. Truant holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and is both a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV).
